Jets make Come back
The Newcastle Jets last night played a very exciting draw with Sydney FC at the Newcastle EAS Stadium. A crowd of just over 11000 were in the house to see a fast and free flowing game with both sides having chances to score however coming up short. The Jets have re grouped very well after the previous drubbing by Melbourne. The Jets could consider themselves unlucky not to have come away with a win. Their performance sets them up well for the coming weeks. Inthe not to distant future Newcastle Jets star player Joel Griffiths will be seen on television advertising the TOP Nutrition range.

Jets Remain in Four
After a hard fought draw against top of the table Central Coast Mariners last week, Newcastle Jets secured their place in the top four for the time being with a last minute injury time victory over the Queensland Roar. In a very tight and physical game, neither side dominated. A game of hard defence and some scrappy play on both sides made for a tight competition. Jets Goal Keeper Ante Covic made his second penalty save of the season to keep the Jets in the game. Then in the last minute of injury time Jets striker Joel Griffith headed in the winner. Congratulations to the team and good luck for the road trip to battle Sydney FC this Friday Night.

Sickness and Training
The issue of training whilst not feeling well is a hot topic most of the time, but especially in the flu season. Nothing makes a trainer feel worse than missing workouts and if it's because of a Cold or Flu, this just adds to the stress. When not feeling well, first take the advice of your Doctor. Other than that some simple steps can be followed. If it's the comon cold and you are coughing and sneezing then staying away from the gym for a couple of days should be all its takes. Others at the gym will also thank you for this. If you have a fever then training would not be advisable. I would also recommend you up your L-Glutamine quite a bit as this will support your immune system and may assist in a quicker recovery. Also keep your fluids up and a great way to assist this is by taking TOP Nutrition's Amino Fuel. Good luck with your training and stay well.

The Newcastle Jets remain unbeaten after two rounds. The first was a hard game for a draw against Perth in Perth. The second at Newcastle against the fast Roar. In both games the Jets appeared to still be finding their place and develop into a cohesive squad. The game against the Roar saw some areas of brilliance and all looks promising for the rest of the season.

Vili was the top qualifer into the finals, only to be pushed into second place by the Olympic champion Ostachuchk from Belarus in the first round of the finals. The positions remain this way until the second last throw of the night. Vili launched a PB, NZ National Record and landed the shot at 20.54 to take the lead. Ostachuchk replied with a big throw and came up just short at 20.48. A great event infront of a capacity crowd.
